March Madness & Chili Cook-Off
The Community Life Team is sponsoring the second annual March Madness Viewing Party and Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, March 21st at 4:30pm. This social event is open to all church friends, who are invited to come and view games from the second round of the NCAA’s March Madness tournament as well as serve as judges for NaperCov’s chili cook-off. The event will be hosted by Brad and Lynda Nordling, who have been kind enough to open both their home and their airplane hangar to all church friends. The Nordling’s address is 9S330 Skylane Drive, Naperville, IL 60564.
Anyone who wants to make a crock pot of chili is welcome to enter the cook-off. Chili chefs can sign up before or after church on March 8th and 15th. Side dishes to share with others are also needed and sign ups will be available on those same dates. Event attendees should bring their beverage of choice to the event.
To make the tournament more exciting and to raise money for our church’s camp fund, we will also be conducting a team raffle. You can enter the team raffle by donating $10 (or more) per team. Your team(s), selected through a blind raffle, will be emailed to you on Monday, March 16th after the selection process is made public the previous evening. If all 68 teams are selected by church participants, we have an opportunity to raise $680 or more to help send our children and youth to camp.
The church team raffle champion will be presented with a certificate during the church service on Sunday, April 12th. Additionally, the 2026 NECC Chili Champion will be recognized during the announcement portion of the service on that same date. We hope everyone will consider joining us for this event and the team raffle!
